YAFU locks up BOINC Manager and Explorer

Posted 25 Jul 2017 by aybiss Post: I have had to stop running YAFU on both the machines I use because it causes Explorer to lock up, so that I can't interact with the taskbar or desktop. Both machines are i7 machines with 16GB and Windows 7. I can regain control of the machines by hitting Ctrl+Alt+Del and asking to log out, and when I do it is usually BOINC Manager that refuses to exit nicely. Both of these machines spend all day crunching other BOINC jobs and compiling C++ code or playing HD movies without missing a beat. I have spent several months narrowing down the cause and the common factor is always that YAFU is running. Has anyone had a similar experience or does anyone have any advice? |
