I have WU's that are still crunching after they have been at 100% for hours, is this normal for this project and will they finish or should i just abort them as they are only going to error out anyway.

The wu doesn't show 100% in Boincmanager. I assume this is a issue of your Boincview.

Still crunching after over 8 hr's time remaining 0 that's 100% done and still crunching in my book.

I'll repeat the question "is this normal for this project and will they finish or should i just abort them as they are only going to error out anyway."

You see that the progress is still 0%.
These WUs are C103 which will need (depending on your hardware) up to 10h-14h.
I heard already from other users that they were running WUs up to 24h.
But at the end they finished and validated.

Hi there !

I have a C104 WU that has been running for 36 hours on a WinXP Q6600.
Deadline is tonight.

Any bets about finishing on time and getting credits ?

I got credit for a result after deadline, as long as the result is visible. Maybe I'm wrong, by reviewing my results, I found no sample.
But also I had long runners, that finished more than 24 hours after deadline, where I got no credit. These where deleted on server side before I could upload and report them.

From my viewing the Problem is the remaining time with "---".
Here the boinc client doesn't see, that the result has not finished yet.
When I had a result with a long running time, than this behavior will appear very late, so most of the results have finished before time is decreased to "---".
The start time for Elapsed will increase to the maximum time I had on that machine.

In the last days I increased the time until you get credits after the deadline. So you will get credits also up to 48h after the deadline.

Why not just change the deadlines to a more realistic date and time when the Wu is issued?

Most all other projects do this why can't you?

I have set rules in BOINCTASKS that will abort any project that goes over the dead line by 6 hours as most projects do not issue credit for missed deadlines.

Deadline is 2 days.I do not know any wu which needs more than 15h. So deadline is sufficient. Keep in mind, that I need the results fast, therefore this short deadline.
