on this PC ID: 65243 The default CreditNew is used here, probably the main reason for the difference as it does not work very well Conan |

I still don't understand why projects keep using CreditNew, it's been a pain since it has been created ... |

I still don't understand why projects keep using CreditNew, it's been a pain since it has been created ... Because it's the default meaning it's built-in into the Server side version of Boinc. to change it one Admin, not from here, said there were like 3 places in the software to change it. He said it was not as easy as it sounds!! |

The last post was from May. But what credit do you assign when some tasks take 2 seconds while the next can take several days? Fixed would not be fair so how does a project calculate the work done? CreditNew. For projects with variable run times it's the only real option. |

If we can understand what is making the difference, maybe we can adapt or change some settings to calculate WU's "the right way". From my side on Yafu 4t using 32 CPU threads, when it reaches above 20000s of run time then credits are ridiculous, other cases follow around the same Run time/credits ratio (for me ~2cr/s): WU | Run time | CPU time | Credit 10957165 | 2.01 | 0.00 | 3.61 10953847 | 2,762.00 | 66,185.12 | 5,418.39 10949238 | 20,092.00 | 23,919.55 | 771.85 |
