Received this message on my event log today about Yafu...What the heck does this mean? Is this why I didn't get a task downloaded??? Because there wasn't enough time being allotted by the system for the job to be run from the time it was being assigned to its due date??? What gives??? Don't you guys plan better than this when setting up jobs to send out to all of us crunchers??? 12/1/2012 11:41:20 PM | yafu | Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. 12/1/2012 11:41:20 PM | yafu | Requesting new tasks for CPU and GPU 12/1/2012 11:41:25 PM | yafu | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks 12/1/2012 11:41:25 PM | yafu | Message from server: No tasks sent 12/1/2012 11:41:25 PM | yafu | Message from server: Tasks won't finish in time: BOINC runs 98.3% of the time; computation is enabled 100.0% of that |

Please post the hostid from the host where you get this message. Maybe the computer is to slow or has to less CPUs. yoyo |

where do I find this for this project? And, in the mean time, I have a Yafu job running now on my computer. I find this very odd. |

As I can see this computer finished 2 workunits today and has one running. So what is the problem, you get workunits? yoyo |

12/1/2012 11:41:25 PM | yafu | Message from server: Tasks won't finish in time: BOINC runs 98.3% of the time; computation is enabled 100.0% of that I have never seen a message like this from any of my other projects before and I don't understand it. I had not looked back at my earlier job history from today so was unaware that I had run other Yafu jobs today so no, I am not questioning that I didn't get jobs, I was questioning was I not going to get jobs in the future. I am not a computer tech person and some of these messages can be confusing. Exactly what does this message mean to me. What am I supposed to do with a message like the one above??? That is why I started this thread. I don't know what to do with the message the system generated to my event log. |

The messages just means that you don't get further tasks, because you will most probably not be able to finish them until the deadline. The reason in your case is, that you got already tasks. yoyo |
