Hi, I do some online support and community stuff for the Gridcoin crypto-currency, which rewards participants for contributing to BOINC projects (rather than computing useless SHA2 hashes, like Bitcoin). To prevent various types of abuse, the projects must be whitelisted (which, unlike Yoyo, Yafu is not at present). If Yafu were whitelisted, it would bring in dozens if not hundreds of machines trying to mine Gridcoins, while not requiring any additional work for the project. I haver started a discussion on whitelisting YAFU. The main concern raised to date is whether enough work units will be available. If there is a large influx of users, would it be possible to reserve more sequences? [/url] |

Thank you for starting the discussion in gridcoin. There are infinitely amount of aliquot sequence which needs to be finished. I add sequences in a way, that always 100-200 workunits are ready to sent to volunters. If there will be more user demanding workunits, then of course I'll reserve more sequences. yoyo PS: In the next 2 weeks I'll be on a holiday trip, so answer time will be not so fast. |
