A few days ago it was ~3hours /unit I think but right now I had 1 that was at 100% in boinc with a run time for over 7 hours and another that slowed down to a crawl after 90% sitting at 9 hours .. and a third currently at 99.996% at 10 hours 16 min

The CPU time at the last checkpoint was 3 hours ago...

In principle the numbers and with it the runtime gets longer over the month.

A runtime of 10h on 4 cores is quite normal. If you are in doubt, that the workunit is still running, you can check the slot directory of the workunit, the files there should update from time to time.

This might be. The percentage of completion is not set by the application, boinc does something artifical there.

SAME PROBLEM with THIS TASK...

Went to 100% after several hours and I let it CONTINUE TO RUN for 1 days 12 hours 46 min 20 sec BEFORE ABORTING.

NONE OF THE FILES in the slots directory updated its date/time stamp after it reached the 100% mark. Have had this happen once or twice before but I do not think I posted about it.

I've got a task that is still running even though it's past the deadline. It has been running for 11 days now past the deadline. It keeps showing somewhere around 96%-98% complete and usually at 22 hours runtime. But it seems like it resets every day back a couple hours and a few percentage points. I just noticed today that the deadline was November 7, 2016. I will abort it when I get home later today. This doesn't seem to be normal as I have credits for completed tasks. This is the first one that I know of that didn't complete.

This is realy strange.
Because it is already after the deadline, the server send it out a 2nd time and this 2nd wu was finished in some seconds.
