On newer Linux versions yafu failed. I deployed version 212 for Linux for app yafu, which should fix this.
The new version is currently only for app yafu available. If this runs well it will be deployed also for all other versions.

I'm running Linux Mint 20.3 Cinnamon. Where did that fall into the picture?

The old version crashed directly at the start of the workunit.

There might have occurred issues if grub didn't contain 'vsyscall=emulate'.
I encountered this problem on Debian 10 and newer systems.
I'm not certain if it did strike me on Ubuntu 18, but with Ubuntu 20 and later it was a regular occurrence as well.
It vanished after adjusting grub, though.

Ahh, is this why the factor.log has gotten some new quality of life details?

Running YAFU-8t212.01 on my PC which has Linux Mint 22 installed.

Things that I've noted...
- no checkpointing?
- the app seems to sit at 100% completed for a long time - hours in fact
- the progress indicator doesn't seem to be accurate

That's all for now.

Yafu is started by the wrapper and in the xml for the wrapper the file "nfs.dat" is configured as checkpoint file. So once yafu entered in nfs phase and this file is written it should be considered as checkpoint.
