1) Message boards : Number crunching : Unable to get any 32t WUs (Message 1563)

I am unable to get the server to send me a single yafu-32t WU. I have
  <app_version>
    <app_name>yafu-32t</app_name>
    <plan_class>32t</plan_class>
    <avg_ncpus>32</avg_ncpus>
    <cmdline>--nthreads 7</cmdline>
  </app_version>

in app_config.xml.

  <app_version>
    <app_name>yafu-16t</app_name>
    <plan_class>16t</plan_class>
    <avg_ncpus>16</avg_ncpus>
    <cmdline>--nthreads 7</cmdline>
  </app_version>

worked perfectly well for 16t WUs. BOINC's log says that there are no WUs available when I update. The server says there are 4 available. Can anyone explain what's going on?

Thanks.

Can someone tell me how to fix this?? I've now removed the project completely, deleted all traces of yafu files and added it again and it STILL refuses to work. This after numerous removes, adds, file edits, protocol changes, resets, you name it. I fail to see how there's anything wrong at this end. My other machine has no problem. I'm completely fed up with the dozens of wasted hours crunching work for this project which I can't upload.

Would some admin here please help and tell me what needs to be done. My next step is to dump this project completely and that would be a shame after all these years.

Thanks.

Thanks. I've reset, added, removed the project and everything else. It refuses to work at all. I haven't been able to upload for months, now.

This seems to be where the trouble lies:

13/05/2017 11:43:42 | | [http] [ID#0] Info: ALPN, server did not agree to a protocol

I edited some files and changed http://yafu.myfirewall.org/yafu/ to use https, restarted and they went, or disappeared, anyway. What is the correct protocol, these days? I would have assumed https but something seems to think otherwise as I also got the "your client is using an outdated URL. When convenient, please remove and reconnect to http://yafu.myfirewall.org/yafu/" message. I've switched back for now, anyway.

Looking at my task list, it's not clear whether they were just deleted or uploaded. I'll check again later as it may not have updated, yet.

Error 408 is a client error (your end) not a server error (Yafu end) nothing the project Admin can do about it.

Is your host heavily loaded and not able to complete the transfer in time or do you have a very slow internet connection?

Well, that's progress, at least. No, none of the above. If that's the case what can I do about it? There is nothing in the transfer window and no action available on the tasks to send them. Is it possible to force them to upload, somehow?

Make that weeks. Can't we even muster the courtesy of a reply around here any more? Is this another project with no one at the helm?

Very sad.

Please fix it and make sure credit is awarded. My WUs are due today and have been trying to upload for several days that I'm aware of.

Thanks.
8) Message boards : Number crunching : WU 9 days over deadline (Message 841)

Hi,

I have this WU, which is 9 days over its deadline. I've been waiting on it patiently and avoided killing it but I now see that is says it's "Timed out - no response". What's going on here? This WU has been hogging my machine for the last week. What should I do with it?

Thanks.
